The educational aims and objectives are detailed below:
Educational Aims
The primary aim of this presentation is to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of advanced anterior dental morphology. Participants will gain insights into the morphological intricacies and form in the context of the anterior region.
Educational Objectives
By the end of this activity, the participant should be able to:
· Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the anatomical features, variations, and functional aspects specific to anterior teeth.
· Accurately analyse and assess the anterior teeth, allowing for the creation of more natural looking restorations.
Learning Content
During the presentation the participants will learn about the morphological details of the different areas of the central incisor (mesial, distal, buccal, incisal) shape of the lobes, contact areas and texture.
Participants will also learn why the lateral incisor is called a transition tooth and all the characteristics present in this tooth that are similar to the central and canine.
Finally, the participant will also learn about the morphological details of the upper canine.
Development outcomes
This CPD course meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcome C.
